Jed Zayner is a husband and dad, a former professional athlete, and an executive coach dedicated to helping people reach their next level.
Jed spent seven seasons as a professional soccer player in Major League Soccer, competing as a defender for the Columbus Crew, DC United, and San Jose Earthquakes from 2005 to 2012. Before turning pro, he played at Indiana University, where he was part of two NCAA Championship teams.
Soccer formed Jed’s understanding of leadership early. Teams succeed when individuals grow, take ownership, and align around a thrilling vision. Those lessons would become the foundation of the work he does today.
From 2015 to 2020, Jed and his family lived in Mexico serving orphaned and vulnerable children through a trauma-informed nonprofit. During that time he became certified in trauma competent care and learned Spanish in order to better connect with the surrounding community. The experience deepened his belief that meaningful leadership begins with understanding people, not just performance.
At heart, Jed has always been a coach. He holds a US Soccer A Coaching License and has spent years mentoring leaders, teams, and organizations who want to grow beyond where they are today.
Today, through Zayner Coaching, Jed and his team work with executives, founders, athletes, and leadership teams to clarify a thrilling vision and develop the resourceful mindsets that fuel renewed growth. His coaching calls people forward into deeper self-awareness, empowering them to pursue astronomical goals that catalyze real transformation while leading with integrity. What was once an impossible vision, becomes the new reality.
Because lasting results don’t come from quick fixes. They come from becoming the kind of leader who can create them.
